Downtown Chicago (Willis Tower is in the background of the photograph) has the largest concentration of jobs in the region, so access to these jobs is critical.

The photo shows the three transportation modes (expressway, CTA Blue Line, and CSX freight tracks). Columbus Park (designed by noted landscape architect Jens Jensen) is on the left of the photograph. IDOT is considering moving the center ramps at Austin and Harlem to the right-hand side of the roadway.
