Neighbors constructed this wooden fence in an effort to reduce the noise
levels from the Eisenhower Expressway and change the view. Although the fence is not a standard noise
barrier, it does reduce noise levels somewhat.
Try standing behind the fence and then stand where there is no fence.
You can hear the difference.
The pavement width of Harrison is very narrow and there is no sidewalk along the fence.
